so we attended the College Life In One Day program today.

We're bored.
We have nothing better to do. srsly.

the one i attended today is Hospitality,Tourism & Culinary Arts. And must I say, I had the best time ever. Though the ppl who actually turned up are not as much as i expected but its all good. (i thought its gonna be hectic as heck guess ppl just prefer to lay on the bed on a beautiful monday mornin uh)
starts at 8.30am so yeah I understand. .__.

the program started off with arrival of students & registration @ Lecture Theater 12. we thought were gonn' be oh so late but thank god we arrived just in time. we even happen to meet our classmate there! I didn't knew she was coming =) anyway it was good to see her. guess we're the only three from our class who actually turned up for this. TEEHEE. there were a few school mates, but less than 15 of us that is. lol. so then after registration supposedly we were grouped according to the activites on that day beforehand already. I was in group 4, which may I say, is freaking awesome because it has the best part of the acitivities among the rest! group 2 & 4's the same package only with swapping the two activities that will take place ;) shing was in group 2 ish! kar man's in group 3. group 1 & 3's more to hotel management/dining etiquette. honestly i find that boring );

first thing,short presentation yada yada. boringggg ):
it was so cold i was shivering like *&^%$#@!@#$%^&. halfway through the talk, kar man fell asleep rofl.
i was just dazed in my own world. shing looks bored. haha. they should just skip that part though cuz its pretty darn boring except the part where they show us some interesting stuffs (:

after the blah presentation we were sent to our respective groups to go on with the next programme of the day. I went to wine lab first keke~
we were introduced to "Mixology" the scientific term of the art & science of cocktails recipes.
it was a lot of fun tasting each & every single type of cocktail/spirit prepared there.

Wine lab session was the best of all. srsly. if we had more time, i swore i'd have gulped down every single liquid was there xD thank god i still have some self-restrain :D
ms.jasmine demonstrated some simple mix on spot & we get to taste it.

looks a lil like orange/mango juice huh? i tell you,never judge a book by its appearance especially for cocktails. srsly the taste is just - far from what you'd imagine/expect. - something that you didnt think your taste bud'd have explored

when they were passing the drink from one to another, everyone's just taking a small sip like mothaeffin dipped ONE DROP WITH THE STRAW WTFFF. I WAS LIKE 0________0;;; KNS GIMME THE GODDAMN THING!!!! I AINT GONNA SIP LIKE THAT K. I'M GONNA GULP DOWN THE WHOLE THING ROFL. haha but of course i didn't lah.when it came to me i was too embarassed to take a mouthful sip cuz everyone took a mothaeffin small sip so yeah )))));
but i wouldn't stop sipping with ma straw cuz that time the she wasn't looking so i was like 'SLRRRRRRRRRRRP~~~~~~~ ;PPPPP' i think i have pretty good alcohol control cuz that's supposed to be one or two sips only but i took about 6 or 7 sips lmao.
it is acknowleged though, cuz I'm a better drinker than my bro rofl. no i aint some alcoholic freak or what its just that my body do tolerate alchohol/vodka pretty well. so i guess it's a gifted thing after all. (': and then ms jasmine split us into 6 groups(there were 24 of us in group 4) with 4 people each in one group and we had to come out with a ridiculously simple & spot-on cocktail/vodka mix with any ingredient we can choose from in the lab.
this means, we're allowed to mix & match according to our own creativity & preferences as long as you dont make poison (:

we got raspberry juice, vodka, half can of sprite, lime, lemon, and one more thing i don't remember its name. was it wiski? @@ the simplest thing right there cuz doesnt mean you take more fancy and complicated ingredients you get the best taste. it might end up tasting like &^%$#@!@#$%^ ^^;;;

^the magic of teamwork efforts.

we worked pretty well but a little disaster happened when we mix the raspberry & sprite together in the shaker & shook it hardcore. it sorta burst. I wouldn't wanna imagine what'd happen if it was coke instead of sprite. the thing would just explode and before you know it the wine trolley & floor is a pool of unglamness. totally unglam when you shake the shaker cuz its supposed to be cool haha & that thing spills out gas liquid out of nowhere rofl. the process was messy as heck, but the end product was awesome. maybe we should learn better how to handle with the shaker next time. x)

it tasted too sweet at first so we added a bit of vodka. still sweet. added squeezed lemon. better.
then comes the tasting by the "panel judges". we were the runner up. first place goes to this group of girls who were complimented by the "5 star" appearance of the drink. it was light green, with a tad bit of creative garnishing. our lemon mothaeffin fell on the floor last minute so there explains the hideous 'last-minute-sliced' remaining of lemons 'last-minutely' placed which reduce our marks ): but the taste was goood! reaallyyyyyyyyyyy good. I'm not braggin haha. wanted to mix more drinks but time wasn't sufficient enough ): oh well what can i expect aight. they cant reveal too much since this is just a day in college thing. what a tease haha.

they tasted the blue one(which really stood out imo) & all of them make this same pulled back expression AT THE SAME TIME OMGLMFAO. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAHHAHA

haha it wasnt bad its just that the taste's too strong for preference. if you like it youre gonn' really love it but if you cant take it you'll be like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!___!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Lunch. blah blah blah. We went our own ways again ); Head on to Manifestation for the next programme. if its any good, I learned how to make mayonaisse & thousand island har dee dee!(gay word, dont ask me i learn it from someone else keke)

^here you have ladies & gentleman~ pure mayonaisse done by yours truly & a partner in less than 10 mins (;
awesomeness♥ pretty darn easy. you just beat egg yolk and oil together(oil must be poured slowly, in a thin film dripping state, while the other person continues to beat the egg.) then ta-da!! you get yellow-like mayonaisse, because it wasn't pasterized yet so its yellow instead of white. yet again me & my partner made the best mayonaisse. hehe buay paiseh.
it was a little salty though because of the black pepper overload :S
still some pairs can't really do it right. some too watery, too hard, too lumpy.
mind i say ours one was just good. keke buay paiseh alert again xD

And he also demonstrated Thousand Island & lettuce salad making.

the chef was rly rly inspiring and he talked bout how he fought for his dreams & passion despite being in pure science stream and how his parents rejected what he wanted & said he's never gonn' go far with this path. He proved them wrong.
theres one thing he said, hobby & passion is two different things. Hobby is something you like to do NOT something you'd be doing for the rest of your life simply just because its your hobby. you cant say "oh i like cooking so I wanna be a chef hooray!"
...you dont even know if youre good at it because as simple as it is,it is just your hobby.

And he was like, "ooh I once though I'm so gonna be an architect just because I built awesome legos when i was young" ROFL. He's one of the best elderly I've ever met. So so aspiring.

Btw, in our batch, i spot one dude who looks like a replica of death note's L. The same hair,same style(clothing-wise),same STAREE 0___0 okay not exactly 100% larh but still. srsly. The second i saw him I was ACTUALLY picturing him sucking a lollipop just the way L did it. lololololol

Chinese version of L maybe? 8D the only exception that, he has a girl. L doesn't? LOL ;PP
Along with 4 more girls, they're the only 18 yrs olds who's taking UEC level~ He's a sweet guy. Why? Oh please, he stuck to his girl wherever they go(not in a gay way), did mayo together(pair work mah, so expect to see some geli moments lah from them) Held her waist, they made FAIL mayo, all lumpy because haha just fail. 8DD He does look a whole load like a jap though. :S okay cut the crap about him. I'm just sharing some interesting people that I encountered (;

so well, I can't say for sure this is what I've decided cuz my aim today is just to experience more things to dig my hidden interests & skills in it. I'd say for the basic like this,I'd most likely do part time in this area. Still don't see a bright future ahead yet. Basically i just go & have fun & just have a good look & yeah free lunch LOL XDDDDD but this is all pretty much awesome, I had a fun time. Knowing new people from different schools, work together, it was all comfortable. I'm always nicer to strangers idk why ;-; ~~Maybe i'm just not comfortable with school since everything went apeshit and is getting worse its breaking the feeling.~~
Granted that the environment of the campus is really beautiful & it's pretty darn huge too~ During lunch was supposed to meet up with Shing & KM but I was lost for a bit there so i went apeshit ROFL. you know how easy I panic 8D

P.S everybody's vain haha. xD they were snapping pictures all the time. snap Snap SNAPPP! CHIK CHAK CHIK CHAK FLASH FLASH FLASHH~! ;) HEHEHEHE :BBB at times they really looked like professional photographers who came for a interview with the college or smth rofl.
P.P.S supposedly there's a continuous part of yesterday's program today. The tourism part. But we were tired and I developed a rly bad sore throat so we skipped it )=
